"Skidh" is simply the origin of the word "ski".
In Old Norwegian the word "skidh" means a wooden billet, shoe or snowshoe for snow. In Norwegian "skidh" would mean "piece of wood" and the Norwegian verb "skidh" means "break or split". The name and logo of the cottage are simply a nod to this pretty story of words.
